TRAVEL HACK: 10 Poses to Stay Flexible When You Travel

The last couple of months have been such a whirlwind of travel and getaways- I love it! But it makes my body super tight. Here are the 10 Yoga Poses I do to keep me flexible when I travel. Then scroll down to experience Aruba through my eyes!

10 poses to stay flexible when you travel

Explore, sway, close your eyes, feel

Take your time in each pose. Let yourself fully breathe. Move on when you feel ready.

Aruba is gorgeous. A hot 90 degrees, but windy enough to keep you cool. I loved exploring all the different things to do.

See the breeze in the palm trees! This was taken in between the two pools. There are bikes you can rent out any time, as well as a Bird Interaction activity available every morning at 11am. The birds use this time to get outside and interact with people. Parrots are domesticated the same way as dogs/cats (not like a zoo.)

Gorgeous sunsets & warm water. Easy to dip into. The beach was private to the hotel so there was always ample space to move around. No crowds at all.

Biking up the light house! There’s a pretty steep hill to get up the light house, but we bought huge, fresh coconuts at the top. So worth it.

SUP Yoga! Also known as paddle board yoga. A challenging way to practice that involves a lot of falling in the water. Perhaps not as meditative as a regular yoga practice, but it definitely is relaxing in its own way. Caution: the wind moves the paddle board! The BTS for this shot was hilarious. The paddle board was basically spinning as I held this headstand!

After being in the sun all day all I really wanted was to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. So I drank a TON, probably my body weight, in coconut water. Ate so much fruit salad. And ordered a side of greens with every dinner I had. It was fresh & delicious every time. I loved how the head chef here made an effort to put healthy dishes on the menu and is working with the local community to face obesity and diabetes.

Overall, I loved my time at Hilton Aruba so much. Highly recommend it to escape for a while and unwind.

To and from the airport is a non-negotiable $31, so no haggling at all. There were plenty of cabs, so no waiting in line. Once you’re at the resort, everything is provided. If you want to walk down to some shops or experience nightlife and other restaurants, it’s right across the street. Aruba is probably one of the most stress free places to travel to. You’ll be taken care of and relaxed from the moment you arrive to your departure.

Thank you so much for hosting me for Wellness Week Hilton Aruba! Know that you can always create your own wellness week anytime you visit. Contact the concierge to help you set it up.
